A big lesson from Black Summer was the importance of mobile communication. An issue we experienced first hand. Inexpensive handheld 5 watt UHF radios are a simple solution in many places.
Helicopter Landing Sites (HLS)
In an emergency, be that a bushfire, flood or medical, helicopters are the quickest and often safest evacuation transport. Registering an HLS reduces time and confusion when things go bad.
